Torres is one of the oldest cities in the state of Rio Grande do Sul The region was originally inhabited by Indians carijó, Minuane and Arachanes, who lived from hunting and fishing and became engaged in a rudimentary agriculture. Torres, known as the 'Capital of the Brazilian Balloon' is a municipality in the state of Rio Grande do Sul located in the northeast coast by up to the state of Santa Catarina. Events
Balloon
The party's Balloon in Torres started by chance. In 1989, during the preparation of the II FEBANANA, party previously held in the city, its organizers decided innovate and bring some balloons for the opening of the event. The success was that size, from the following year, it was the first Brazilian to South Balloon Festival.
The city of Torres became the capital of the Brazilian Balloon. Attractions
Praia Grande
With 2 km in length, is the favorite beach for swimming at sea. It is also where most of the summer sporting events such as soccer, volleyball, surf, among others. There are also organized outdoor concerts.
Beach of the pier
The piers were built from 1968 to 1970 for fixing the mouth of the river and to facilitate the departure of fishing boats. The Beach of the pier is 250 m in length and is one of the surf from Torres, by presenting good waves to practice the sport.
Prainha

Praia da Cal

Parque da Guarita

Morro do Farol

Morro do Meio

Santo Domingo Church
